From The Field...

Q: Can you give me a little help?
A: Yes, very little.
"We were trying to help a member get a long expired mortgage lien officially cancelled. I went to the customer service rep's office at the b*#k and nicely explained what was needed.  Well, as my husband would say, that bank rep...

From The Field: Say What?

"We have been extremely busy this month, despite the inclement weather caused by the hurricane.  As the old saying goes:

"Our members were in here like a hair in a biscuit".

From The Field: High Heel Sneakers...

"Last Saturday, John Franklin and Bill
A drag race?
Anderson volunteered to participate in the Harbor House Walk.  The men dressed up in drag and high heels and did the 3-mile walk around the track."

Can't make this stuff up...

"This fund raiser was to benefit Harbor House, which is a local non-profit organization for absurd women."

Sounds more like the men were...

Internet Ads... Drop Down Boxes

Most internet ads which pop-up as you surf the net are pretty dull, uninteresting.  But occasionally...

From The Field....

"I feel it is important for our children to understand the concept that money does not (and technically never will) grow on trees and you have to work in order to succeed in life.

In the county schools, I believe the teachers are also seeing that the financial aspect of "life after high school" is no longer being taught at home, or in the North Carolina school curriculum.  The students have a "live and learn" outlook and we often seem to be the barriers of bad news ["barriers of bad news"?!?] when they need a car or home loan..."

From The Field.....And Throw Away The Key....

"Last Friday, the branch had some excitement at the end of the week.  The employees were trying to balance following an extremely hectic, busy, and trying day."

Sorry, didn't see ya'....
"The teller manager, in a hurry, after completing the balancing process with the last member, went into the vault to put up his work.  The other tellers didn't see him entering and unfortunately he was still inside, when Sally locked the vault and set the timer for Monday."

"She heard him say: "Oh no, wait a minute!"  But it was too late..."
(Yeah uh-huh, sure she "didn't see him"....)

Test Question:  "What do you say in this type situation?"

Why You Should Centralize The Marketing Function....

"Creating a buzz..."
"To bee or not to bee..."

"For member appreciation day, the branch dressed up as bumble bees, topped off with our bee antennas.

The staff insisted I do something different to indicate my status as "Queen Bee".

So I borrowed my daughter's pageant crown and wore it all day. To "bee" honest, I felt like a complete idiot..."

Foreclosure....

"I do have one property that may be hard to sell.

The neighborhood is awful.  Just about every time I go, the law is there.

In addition, the neighbor directly beside us has six or seven pit bulls tied up on the property line.  It's not a very family friendly environment..."

Creating a new tax deduction....

"Vita tax prep season for 2016 is finally over; the new "drop off" vs appointment system is working out pretty well.  Allows everybody to better schedule their work flow."

We had one couple tell us how much they enjoyed the new service.  They dropped off their tax info and went off and had a baby before coming back to pick up the return.

They said: "The timing was perfect, its a great service !"

Well ok, guess everyone's got to do something
while they wait, or does this actually mean...
