The American Association of Credit Union League Executives (AACULE) is meeting today in Oregon...
A DYNAMIC GROUP !!!!!! ... BUT NOT WIDELY KNOWN FOR "FAST ACTION" !!!!
At "loggerheads"?
LAST BOLD MOVE WAS TO PERMIT CREDIT UNIONS TO PAY DUES TO MORE THAN JUST ONE LEAGUE !!! Perhaps having trouble thinking...
..."outside the box"?
[THEY DO HAVE A 'FAST FOOD' AGENDA: "BERGER AND SHAKES" !!]

Party would have been a better word to describe the Oregon event. A get together to toast what great jobs they have. Travel, golf, receptions, lunches and dinners. Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow is yet another day for fun and frolic. People helping people.
Thanks for letting us know that such an important group of leaders is meeting to have a great time and tell each other how badly they feel about the big loss in credit union numbers. Hard to find out anything about these folks as they like to practice a kind of "NCUA" transparency. I would suggest that after the decisions on what nice eateries they opt for a big topic might be that "darn linkage with CUNA that's causing them to miss a tee time or two. I say we help them with the press release so their good times go uninterrupted. Perhaps a statement like: "After profound deliberation and in consideration of the historical linkage between out organizations we have decided to appoint a joint task force to study the complex issues surrounding what appears as a minority concern with aforementioned linkage. We believe the solution will be announced around 3 years from now and will be applicable to the 4100 credit unions remaining". "Let's Parteeee.
I'd never heard of this esteemed organization until today, so a little research was in order.
In visiting their website, I decided I'd learned enough after reading that "The AACUL administrative office is housed in the league relations department of the Credit Union National Association."
Poor Mr. Muscle. Traveled across the country only to be met by at least four different factions of his organization each headed by a league president waiting in the wings to take over for him should he continue to falter. And what does he say in his defense "The Board never said that there was so much discontent and the job was a hard one that required leadership. I was told all I had to do was stand, smile and talk about the tax exception. That's what the other Congressman did."
