CUNA At The Bat....

Well back to reality; time to get over all those "delusions and circumstances".

Mighty CUNA...?

Seems some folks think the most important thing going on in the world these days is the little brouhaha developing between NAFCU and CUNA.

NAFCU clearly "loaded the bases" last week with the move to open membership and is looking for a "walk-off grand slam" following CUNA's "America's Credit Union Conference" next week in Denver.

Odds-makers are betting heavily on NAFCU, after evaluating CUNA's "weak pitching staff" and "lack of bench strength". Some folks believe CUNA "hasn't fielded a viable line-up now for several seasons" and even the coaching has become suspect.

But in fairness "give CUNA that last inning in July" before completing your game card, that one last chance at bat in Denver.

A miracle is still possible, but...

... after Denver wouldn't it be impolite for CUNA not to sit down after it becomes obvious to everyone... that they have struck out - yet once again?

... have lots of CU folks become unwitting season ticket holders for
"America's Credit Union CUBS*"?

It appears to me that you are weighing the offers of each organization before making a decision. You method of madness can be likened to comparing cars on the lots of two different used car dealers. But a question is in the offing. I believe you have already at one time purchased a vehicle from one of the dealers. Did that one not turn out to be a "lemon"? And yet you continue to look at that dealer to perhaps purchase again? You return for yet another fleecing? You wish for a return to the wood shed? You again would consider buying from the one that sells a defective product? Perhaps, unlike others, you see them offering a new model? Do you not learn from you mistakes?

Are you suggesting that Mr. Nussle and Mr. Berger are used car salesmen - "Fast Eddies"?

Heaven forbid. I would never refer to either as salesmen. They are the dealers.
