Definitely a WOW !! |
An astounding display of grace and beauty amid the monuments and politics of the Nation's capital city!
What would you think if credit unions could link our image, "brand" our values, attach our purpose - in a highly positive way - to that globally recognized image of springtime in Washington ? An impossible dream, you say?
An opportunity too rare; and, if available most certainly beyond the financial reach of any credit union.

... someone came up with the idea of a nationally sanctioned Credit Union 10-K run through the blocked-off streets of DC during the Cherry Blossom Season ?
And, what if half of Congress and 800 Hill staffers signed up to participate in the race? What if 15,000 runners from all across the globe showed up to run and registration "sold out" in 30 minutes? And, what if hundreds of CU staffers volunteered their time and energy to make the race a success?

Help Credit Unions run D.C.?? |
And, just for good measure, what if the race raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals all across the U.S. - including one in your state?
THE CREDIT UNION CHERRY BLOSSOM RUN HAPPENS TODAY - APRIL 3rd !
And, icing on the cake; what if every dollar your credit union donates for the Run is returned to the CMN Hospital of your choice in your state ?!
It's not too late to make a difference!

Thank you very much for the plug! It would seem to me that credit unions should be smart enough to get involved with this branding opportunity. When you only speak a good battle and don't match with action, Capitol Hill takes note, and your arguments about how wonderful credit unions are as unique financial institutions falls on death ears. It is not to late to go to Miracleday.org and get involved and stay involved.
