For some unknown reason, reported sightings of senior NCUA officials in North Carolina have been less frequent, of late, than sightings of Elvis. 


Rumors have been rampant that one senior regional official may even have entered the federal government's "witness protection program"!  Can't repeat "in mixed company" some of the identities suggested which this official may have assumed... but use your imagination - maliciously and with no inkling of human kindness - and you'll come pretty close.


But the real gossip-mongers have suggested that the whole flock may have flown and fled to...

      ....Ecuador  to seek asylum with Julian Assange!

Why?  With Mr. Assange around, demand for "Leak-Busters" (Who 'ya gonna' call?) ought to be at a premium! And, someone pointed out that the national  symbol of Ecuador was the llama, which is a first cousin to the camel!!!  Fact of the matter is, if you add a little "hump" to the end of llama (llamac); it actually spells camel backwards!  (Well, close enough in an "ESL" country!).  And this group is definitely qualified on backwards, too...


Coincidence or conspiracy?!?!? It's hard to say these days with the Agency...
