If there were no lines there would be no need for those pretty chrome poles that hold the velvet ropes to keep people standing in an orderly manner. Banks would no longer order them and the factories that produce them would reduce the work force that work of the line that makes them.So now two lines would have been eliminated and the unemployment rate would increase. Those fired employees probably belong to a credit union and would experience a loss in pay and no longer would be able to stand in line at their credit union to make a deposit, Hence one more line eliminated. I could go on but I think you get the point. Just like with your daily blogs, lines are needed.

Without lines there would be chaos.

Actually, the lines at the unemployment office would decrease because the pole and rope makers would be needed again to corral the unemployed. See the flaw in your logic. Those chrome poles and velvet ropes do not run the economy. It in fact is organized chaos.
