Despite the best efforts of the N.C. Legislature and Stephen Colbert - (search)Possum Drop... the annual Possum Drop at Clay's Corner will have to go forward without its usual live "star" this year. 

Clay relents and frees possum!

Fortunately, Clay Logan who hosts the event has recruited another famous celebrity, long associated with the North Carolina mountains, to stand in for the possum on New Year's Eve...


This Year's #1 attraction for "The Drop" will be none other than our good-ole buddy...
