in·ev·i·ta·ble (ĭn-ĕv′ĭ-tə-bəl) adj. 1. Impossible to avoid or prevent.
So There You have it.... Start with the environment pretty impossible. Our Movement infested with the false prophets who preach “relevance” despite the fact that “relevance” is a fairly shifty and subjective target day to day. Couple that with the carpetbaggers who have infiltrated high position in credit union land whose only motives are self serving. Minimalistic involvement by volunteers (we started as a volunteers organization) which has evolved due to mergers and liquidations, into a landslide of loss of voice generally perpetuated by the “professionals” who really know dontcha know! A corrupt, government who does indeed “waste the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them” thanks Mr. Jefferson. Finally a here and now regulator that cant seem to grasp the notion that making a rule today, even if you are the greatest regulator in the world, doesn't mean the “next guy wont use it to abuse the governed. It's not only the movement that is threatened - it is the very Republic.
Like alot of this and agree. Lose me HUGE when you say volunteers are minimalist due to mergers. Thats just not the case. Thats like saying members act like owners, care about being owners or are owners.

Dennis, if it's any help at all, perhaps you should not overlook another famous Gandhi quote:
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, next they fight you, then you win."
Keep up the fight....
I will...
