From The Field...

The Employee Evaluation:

"Some folks in the branches seem to think I'm rude.
I can not help how some people react to me,
 that's their problem."

(... thought we all needed a derivatives break!)

Well since we are taking a derivitive break your recent reference to Maggie Valley reminded me of a very funny thing that happened quite a few years ago on the grounds of the golf course. I was down there, in the spring, with a few other CU managers. An old friend (now deceased) Don Murray always went on the trip. Really there for the camaraderie because he was a bad golfer with crippling arthritis. As we neared the end of the round Don, a notorious "ball hawk" was searching the rough and streams for "misplaced" golf balls. I noticed him around the pool formed by the rushing streams so I opened the bag pocket in his golf bag and began to feed his golf balls one by one into the stream. As they began to plop into the pool Don got quite excited and our group was entertained by his excited cries of "here comes another one". Once he realized what was going on (took a minute or two) he wouldn't talk to any of us for the next few hours. Great time and Don was really a wonderful guy.
