Seems to me that Trade associations are formed to represent the interests of credit unions who represent the interest of the members.

Trade associations are supposed to be a more efficient method of doing business with the government instead of 5,000 independent voices. I also am upset with Ms. Matz vilifying our Trades. That is our guilty pleasure!

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

I think the trades, especially NAFCU has done a good job of keeping the pressure on the NCUA to make changes, internally and with proposed rules. The trades have been successful in getting the NCUA to make changes and to now have to respond to congress. I feel bad for Chairman Matz because she continues to get very poor advice from her senior execs. She needs to tell staff to do their damn jobs.

Eventually it always comes down to this.

Without focused leadership or outside monitoring, the first purpose of any bureaucracy, whether it is public, private or government, becomes the desire to perpetuate and grow that same bureaucracy. Often, though well-intended, organizations are set up to meet a current or perceived need, but left unattended, unfocused or monitored by others they turn into self-perpetuating organisms.
With government bureaucracies unfocused growth is attained by adding additional reporting, requirements and regulations that take more personnel and dollars to monitor, by inventing solutions in search of an issues and even creating crisis’s that the organization can point to and say, “We saved your bacon on that one”.

If an organization cannot stand outside scrutiny of its purpose, processes, and purse then the root reason for its existence must be examined.

As I've said many times - shame on Andrews FCU for extending Matz' career beyond its expiration date.

Matz not only disgraces herself and the agency;, she disgraces us all. Shame on her, shame on us.

You are making the victim responsible for the crime by saying shame on us.

Shame on you hiding behind Anonymous!

I've called her out in the press... you want change? At least be woman/man enough to use your own name.... otherwise I don't blame Ms Matz for ignoring your whining!

What does The Donald have to say about Matz?

Gregg, do you really think it matters at all to her whether the commenters signs their name to their rant? Do you really think it matters to her what anyone says? Because nothing matters to her. She is the Queen and you are her subject and if you disagree, it's off with your head!
