Bank Run...

It's probably little more than a sign of a demented sense of humor, but noticed a Bank of America ad on a recent visit to Chicago that led to a brief bout of hysteria.

The ad, in support of the Chicago Marathon, is painted on a building and water tower adjoining the freeway between downtown Chicago and O'Hare Airport.

The ad, featuring the standard, stylized flag logo and patriotic red, white & blue color theme of the "Big Snake Bank" (BOA), showed a group of runners, the date of the Marathon, and a large, boldly worded encouragement to: "Let's RUN Together!" (The word "run" is in all caps and bright red!)

Well, I don't know about you; but if I had been featured, tormented, and downright persecuted by the press as much as BOA has of late.... pushing BOA customers and market investors to the highly, volatile fringe of nervous skittishness .... edgy, edgy, edgy!!!!!!!!

... not sure I'd be encouraging a "RUN" right now!

But if you've always.....

... wanted to participate in a "bank run"  -  Chicago may be your ticket!
