CUTIMES HEADLINE:
"CUNA Proposal Passes Membership Choice..."
[Feb. 8, 2016]
Mr. Patrick S. Jury, Chair CUNA Corporate Governance Committee, in recommending the proposed CUNA by-law amendments, has this to say:
" This new governance structure will allow CUNA to modernize and become more open, responsive, and accountable to all our members. These proposed bylaws are an important component of that."
"Please let me know if I can answer any questions about the proposal or the process currently underway for the membership to review and vote for its approval."
Mr. Peter Strozniak, the CUTIMES journalist following up on the bylaw amendment story, reported the following when he reached out to Mr. Jury to answer a few questions as requested...
"Jury was unavailable for comment. An automatic reply email read that he was on sabbatical leave and is scheduled to return May 1."
Since the deadline for ballots is March 18, not sure how much help Mr. Jury will be after May 1 with answers to member CU questions...
Folks you just can't make this stuff up. For this
type of unforced error, most people would call us inept or incompetent, Donald Trump would simply call us stupid!
"... open, responsive, accountable to all our members."
... an opportunity slip sliding...

Mr. Blaine, this is crazy, shut down CUNA. Or at least kick the people off the board, and kick out the senior staff. Make it stop.
LOL You are correct you can't make this stuff up. This transparency and openness will take practice. Someone should remind the chairperson that to answer questions you must be available and accessible. Old habits are hard to break.
Reached at his sabbatical retreat Mr. Jury had this to say, "In response to your request for comment, I have no comment".
Mr. Jury is showing the exact same transparency that we are subjected to and that we witness everyday from Debbie on Duke Street. Maybe this is where CUNA learns this stuff. After all CUNA is NCUA 4-letters and all mixed up. Dennis is right. This would not be so funny if it wasn't true. I'm loving CUNA almost as much as I'm loving the NCUA.
